Religious Studies

Qur’anic and Islamic Studies are major academic subjects and are presented in a sequential manner beginning in Preschool through 8th grade. The focus of the Qur’anic Studies Department is to teach each student to read and understand the Qur’an and Hadith as sources of guidance for their lives. In addition, the Qur’anic Studies Department insures that the Qur’an is the principal source of guidance for all other subjects. OCS’ Arabic teachers work hard to engage students with project based learning and differentiate to the level of the child regardless of their prior knowledge of the Arabic language.
